Research areas ofour interestinclude (but are not limited to):

  • HPC, cloud, datacenter and enterprise networks
  • Cloud, AI and HPC workload orchestration
  • WiFi/Cellular/NextG seamless communication
  • B5G/6G RAN/core development
  • Next generation media (e.g., XR, AR, VR)
  • FPGAs, GPUs, andSmartNICs

We are particularly interested in individuals with a doctoral degree in Computer Science or Electrical & Computer Engineering. Excellent networked systems building skills are a significant plus. The ideal candidate would have a strong background in distributed systems,HPC and AI workloads,enterprise and telecommunication networks, cloud applications, & network protocols. Excellent understanding of the current state of the art, major trends and opportunities as well as a demonstrated track record in making things real in innovative waysis considered aplus.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Finishing or recently completed Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline, such as computer science, electrical or computer engineering
  • Proven track record of world-class innovative research contributions
  • Strong programmingand system-building skills
  • Highly Desirable: C/C++, Python, Linux Kernel development, Network Stack
  • Experience with CUDA,PyTorch, K8s, TensorFlow,KNative,OpenvSwitchand other control and orchestration platforms
  • Proficiency in network protocols and technologies, including but not limited to Ultra Ethernet, Slingshot, Collectives Communication, IP, TCP/UDP, P4, 5G, eBPF, DPDK etc.
  • Knowledge of WiFi/cellular protocol stack
  • Experience with wireless systems building including SDRs (e.g. USRPs)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated with an ability to work independently and well with others in a team
