Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced D365 Customer Engagement (CE) Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialise in delivering Dynamics 365 CE solutions that address business challenges and optimise customer relationship management processes. This role involves requirement gathering, system configuration, stakeholder collaboration, and supporting successful project implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement Analysis & Solution Design:
    • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their business processes, challenges, and requirements.
    • Develop functional specifications, process designs, and solution architectures for D365 CE.
    • Collaborates with stakeholders throughout the organisation to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned to business objectives, gaining full understanding of current business processes
    • Provides in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics CE application and evaluates the customer’s business processes against the standard Microsoft Dynamics CE functionality
    • Is responsible for documenting the business requirements which express what actions a solution must take and what outcome is expected.
  2. System Configuration & Customisation:
    • Configure D365 CE modules, including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Field Service, to meet business needs.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement customisations or integrations.
    • Facilitates the customer’s decision-making process and develops the functional design document that will drive the development process (if modifications/customisations are required, either to processes or to the Microsoft Dynamics CE application.)

  3. Implementation & Deployment:
    • Lead D365 CE implementations, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
    • Support data migration efforts, mapping legacy data to D365 CE structures.
  4. Testing & Quality Assurance:
    • Develop test plans and scripts for functional testing of D365 CE solutions.
    • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure feedback is incorporated.
  5. Training & Documentation:
    • Prepare training materials and deliver training sessions to end-users.
    • Create comprehensive documentation, including user guides and functional design documents.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to enhance D365 CE functionalities to improve client operations.
    • Stay updated on new D365 CE features and recommend their adoption.
  7. Collaboration & Support:
    • Work closely with technical teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Provide post-go-live support to resolve issues and ensure optimal system performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5 Years experience in a Microsoft partner in a consultancy role OR equivalent experience in an insurance vertical market
  • Proven experience as a D365 CE Functional Consultant or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of D365 CE modules (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and/or Field Service).
  • Hands-on experience in configuring and customising D365 CE.
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of D365 CE functionality, workflows, and business rules.
  • Knowledge of integration methods, including APIs and middleware tools.
  • Familiarity with Azure services and Dataverse is desirable.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Functional Consultant Associate.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Agile or Scrum Certification (optional).
