This position is for you if:

  • You have a passion for plants, and want to learn all aspects of a thriving manufacturing business.
  • You love the challenge of problem solving, collaborating, and being the go-to resource for your customers as well as enjoy the seasonal fluctuations of agricultural production.
  • You are highly organized, and an excellent communicator.
  • You have the ability to run/calibrate irrigation, fertilization, and spray equipment required to achieve desired results.
  • You have strong managerial experience and be able to work and lead a multitude of different personalities.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, or Horticulture or minimum of 5 years experience in horticultural production and a current pesticide license.
  • Bilingual- English/Spanish a plus.

Join our team

The Greenhouse Grower Manager is a hands-on role responsible for directly managing and executing fertilizer, seeding, and chemical application programs in support of daily greenhouse operations. This position works closely with the grow team to monitor crop development, identify and address potential risks to plant health, and ensure consistent production of high-quality plants through proper cultural practices. The Greenhouse Grower Manager maintains accurate spray records, tracks chemical usage and costs, and ensures all applications are performed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining an efficient, safe, and productive growing environment while meeting customer quality expectations.

  • Maintain proper growing methods through fertilization, application of growth retardant and pesticides ensuring quality production on a scheduled time line.
  • Document all methods and training material.
  • Manage cultural environments for each variety and proactive issue reporting.
  • Generate accurate crop survey and crop forecast.
  • Design โ€œspray programsโ€ and oversee effective execution of programs
  • Train all irrigators / pesticide applicators.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
  • Propose creative solutions to challenges as they arise.
  • Proactively alert proper staff of any potential issues or concerns with equipment.
  • Willingness to travel based on company needs.
