It offers toasted hempseeds, hemp powders, hempseed oils, and hulled hempseeds; and seed and seed technology for farmers and the industry. The company also engages in the research and development of seeds and oils that are used in foods, supplements, vitamins, personal hygiene, paints, plastics and flowers, leaves, and cell fluids, which are used for CBD extraction for pharmaceutical and medical solutions. In addition, it engages in growing, processing, packaging, and distributing hemp-based non-psychoactive cannabinoids for retailers and distributors. The company was founded in 2014 and is based in Winchester, Kentucky.

Job Description

This person will be responsible for coming in and managing a team of two Sales Agents for our client.  This position will be a W2 employee and working on a tiered structure - it will be performance based with incentives for hitting goals.  The target market this VP of Sales and Sales Agents will be selling to are companies who create tinctures, beauty products, and health products.  Our client already has a strong presence in the market and needs this person to be able to come in and hit the ground running - there will be very little training or guidance for this role.

Duties:

  • Develops and implements sales strategy to accommodate corporate goals
  • Coordinates between sales department and other sales-related units
  • Directs sales forecasting to establish performance goals
  • Execute and analyze market analyses to determine customer needs, price scheduling, and promotions
  • Drives sales reporting to formulate performance-driven sales team processes
  • Directs staffing, training, regular metric monitoring, and performance evaluations to develop and grow sales program
  • Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing quotas and goals
  • Prepares periodic sales reporting and forecasting; maintains current competitive intelligence and analyses
  • Professional represents Founders at industry events
  • Write and develop sales pitches and materials
  • Develops and cultivates key accounts
Qualifications
  • 5+ years Sales experience
  • 2+ years Sales Management experience
  • Previous Cannabis industry experience required
  • Willing and able to travel around the country as needed
  • Knowledgable on the Cannabis and Hemp industries
  • Strong work ethic, adaptable, reliable
