Job description

PART-TIME to FULL-TIME | YEAR ROUND

The Front Desk Supervisor coordinates Front Desk operations during their shift including managing Front Desk Agents, Night Audit, Valet/Bellman and Concierge employees by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
**This position offers part-time hours in the summer with full-time hours available in the winter.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
  • Directs and assists with training of the front desk staff.
  • Is able to follow all duties of a front desk agent, which include the ability to problem solve for guests, maintenance or housekeeping issues.
  • Establishes a thorough understanding of hotel equipment and software used at the front desk.
  • Provides excellent customer service that goes above and beyond expectations, always maintains a professional presentation, is dressed in proper uniform attire and maintains a groomed appearance.
  • Communicates with other supervisors on a daily basis regarding any issues, problems or concerns.
  • Assists with weekly schedule followed by ensuring proper coverage and maintaining hours based on budget.
  • Completes all daily front desk reports including cash reports, credit card refunds, compensation reports, call back log, shift at a glance form, and double checking the audit.
  • Ensures and maintains a clean and safe environment.
  • Ensures the company's personnel policies are followed.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software. Point of Sale and Property Management software experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate proper phone etiquette skills at all times. Ability to lead and direct employees during high volume business periods.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, holidays and weekends is required.
