About The Backyard Club
The Backyard Club is opening a premium indoor pickleball, fitness, café, and social club in Vaughan. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and service-oriented Barista & Member Experience Associate to join our opening team.

This role will primarily support our juice and coffee bar, serving coffee, smoothies, pastries, and grab-and-go items to members and guests. From time to time, this role may also support front desk, member service, club operations, and events as needed.

Role Overview

The main focus of this position is café service and day-to-day juice and coffee bar operations. The ideal candidate is warm, detail-oriented, clean, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Because we are a new club, team members may occasionally help outside the café with reception coverage, member check-ins, event support, and general club operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, smoothies, pastries, and grab-and-go café items
  • Provide friendly, polished service to members, guests, and staff
  • Operate the POS system and process payments
  • Keep the café, counter, equipment, fridges, and service areas clean and organized
  • Restock drinks, snacks, pastries, cups, lids, napkins, and other supplies
  • Monitor product freshness, expiry dates, and inventory levels
  • Assist with opening and closing duties for the café
  • Support basic food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
  • Help create a welcoming café experience that matches TBC’s premium club environment
  • Occasionally assist with front desk coverage, member check-ins, club inquiries, event setup, and general operational support
