About Helix Aviation Academy: Helix Aviation Academy is a STEM-focused, public charter school within the Helix Community Schools network, dedicated to empowering students through rigorous academics, real-world learning, and innovative technology integration.

Position Overview: The 1st Grade Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, fostering a safe and positive classroom environment, and supporting the academic and emotional growth of each student. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a deep commitment to early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver standards-based lessons in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles
  • Assess student progress regularly and communicate results with parents and guardians
  • Create a warm, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams, support staff, and administration
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching practices into daily instruction

Additional Expectations:
