Position Objective
Clover Park Technical College seeks an industry-engaged faculty member to serve as the primary instructor and academic anchor for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Cybersecurity program. The incumbent will teach across governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), offensive security, and defensive security while mentoring students in professional development and career readiness. This role leads continuous curriculum improvement aligned with employer needs, emerging cybersecurity trends, and hybrid program delivery. The position collaborates with Computer Programming and Mechatronics faculty to support interdisciplinary learning and advance industrial control systems (ICS) security education.

The salary range for this position is $103,123 to $108,317- Pursuant to WA House Bill 2158, which includes the Computer Science Tenure Track Faculty program, may receive additional compensation. The rate is subject to change depending on industry salaries, and funding. Funding is appropriated through June 30, 2027.
This position is represented by the Clover Park Federation of Teachers, Local 3913, AFT/ AFT Washington.

Duties and Tasks (Essential Functions)
Duty: Provide instruction and skills development to prepare students for employment in cybersecurity and related technology fields.
Tasks include:
- Deliver instruction across governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), offensive security, and defensive security using applied, project-based learning.
- Design, update, and continuously improve curriculum to align with industry standards, employer needs, and emerging cybersecurity trends.
- Mentor students in professional development, career readiness, and ethical practice within the cybersecurity field.
- Maintain and manage lab environments, tools, and instructional resources supporting cybersecurity and interdisciplinary learning.
- Collaborate with Computer Programming and Mechatronics faculty to develop integrated learning experiences, including industrial control systems (ICS) security applications.
- Foster a professional, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
- Maintain safe instructional environments through appropriate procedures, policies, and ongoing evaluation.
Duty: Support administration and continuous improvement of the BAS Cybersecurity program.
Tasks include:
- Maintain accurate student records, evaluate learning outcomes, and provide timely feedback.
- Submit grades and required documentation in accordance with college policies.
- Participate in program promotion, recruitment, and outreach activities.
- Engage with the program advisory committee to align curriculum with workforce needs.
- Participate in department, division, and college committees and initiatives.
- Contribute to ongoing program assessment, planning, and improvement efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Do you have at least three (3) years of recent experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related IT security roles, including military or government experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, cyber operations, intelligence, communications, or related technical fields?
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification.
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), offensive security, or defensive security.
- Experience supporting diverse learners, mentoring, training, or teaching in academic, professional, or workplace settings.
- Ability to develop and deliver instruction in a hybrid or online learning environment.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP environments).
Preferred Qualifications
- Six or more years of recent professional experience in cybersecurity across GRC, offensive security, or defensive security domains.
- Knowledge of AI security, security automation, or emerging technology risk.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems (ICS) or operational technology (OT) security.
- Experience collaborating across disciplines such as programming, networking, or mechatronics.
- Experience designing curriculum, training programs, or workforce-aligned learning experiences.
- Industry Certifications.

Health Insurance / FSA
Eligible employees may choose from among seven health plans offered in 2026-2027, including Consumer-Directed Health Plans with Health Savings Account (CDHP-HSA). Dental Insurance
