Job description

Position Overview

The Sales Manager GCI is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the CAT Machine Group sales organization. This individual manages support functions essential to sales force productivity, including KPI optimization and management, planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, job design, training, program implementation, compensation design and administration, and recruitment and selection of sales force talent. The Sales Manager GCI will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the sales organization.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES*
  • Coordinate sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes within the sales organization, ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency in planning efforts and aligning activities with other functions and stakeholders as needed.
  • Support equitable assignment of sales force quotas and ensure optimal allocation across all sales channels, resources, and key performance indicators.
  • Implement the Nebraska Machinery Company Sales Process throughout the CAT Machine Group.
  • Ensure timely assignment of all sales organization objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for sales process and methodology improvement, collaborate with the sales team to inspect process quality, address bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and intelligence, recommend revisions, and assist in developing new reporting tools.
  • Coordinate training delivery for sales, sales management, and support personnel.
  • Manage the relationship between the dealership and OEM.
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, and HR to assist with sales incentive compensation administration and clarify policy application when needed.
  • Develop coaching and performance improvement plans to achieve Nebraska Machinery Company objectives and goals.
