Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a Healthcare Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years of proven leadership experience on complex healthcare construction projects. Based in Atlanta, this role serves as the primary project leader-responsible for driving safety, quality, schedule, financial performance, and client relationships. The ideal candidate is a proactive and collaborative leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering excellence in healthcare construction. While healthcare will be the primary focus, this role may also support projects in other key markets such as aviation, K-12, higher education, multi-family, and commercial office-offering a dynamic and diverse project portfolio.
Job Description:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Collaborate with Superintendent to develop project schedule, logistics, infection control, interim life safety, quality, and safety plans.
  • Set up and implement job procedures to ensure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery.
  • Estimate and establish project budgets and contract pricing (GMP/Lump Sum).
  • Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases.
  • Monitor and manage project schedule and milestones.
  • Maintain quality control and ensure excellence in project delivery.
  • Review contract conditions and ensure compliance with all terms.
  • Supervise documentation of significant project events (e.g., delays, change orders).
  • Avoid or mitigate claims and conflicts through proactive management.
  • Complete all job close-out procedures and conduct warranty follow-up (e.g., 1-year warranty walks).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors.
  • Manage, train, and supervise project team in alignment with company policies.
  • Organize and lead regular meetings with management and subcontractors.
  • Direct preconstruction services and activities as needed.
  • Support estimating staff as a bid item specialist as needed.
  • Assist with business development and participate in client interviews.
  • Maintain timely and accurate reporting to management.
  • Deliver project with full or enhanced fee through effective cost control and execution.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of field construction management experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or phases concurrently.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive sense of urgency.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., CMiC, Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD).
  • Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection.
  • Working knowledge of contract law and project accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with healthcare construction protocols, including infection control and interim life safety measures.
  • Thorough understanding of project management control systems, including scheduling, cost control, procurement, and estimating.
  • Experience in client-facing roles and stakeholder management.
  • Willingness to travel for project needs.
