Job Description:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Ballinger Memorial Hospital, a designated Critical Access Hospital (CAH). The COO provides strategic leadership, ensures compliance with CAH regulatory requirements, optimizes rural health delivery systems, and collaborates closely with the CEO/Administrator and executive team members to support high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day operational management of the hospital
• Provide strategic leadership for hospital operations
• Ensure compliance with Critical Access Hospital (CAH) regulatory requirements
• Optimize rural health delivery systems
• Collaborate closely with the CEO/Administrator and executive team

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership in hospital operations
    • At least 5 years of experience in a rural or Critical Access Hospital setting
    • FACHE or similar professional certification strongly preferred
