Leverages health information technology, including clinical decision support, as well as process improvement tools, project management and communication skills to enable achievement of clinical and operational priorities. Coordinates health informatics initiatives and leads multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes and adoption of new processes and content across the care continuum for the enterprise. Functional role
- Provides expertise in the communication of health informatics value add, workflows, trends, dashboards, newsletters, standard communications and sharepoint / intranet sites.
- Responsible for team performance in support of Health Informatics operational priorities and goals, through engagement, alignment and effective utilization of team resources and expertise.
- Adjusts resources to align and deliver on Health Informatics and organization priorities.
- Maintains internal and external relationships to leverage best practices, evaluate emerging technologies, and educate on how to effectively leverage health information technology within the health care environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Health Informatics through a combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's Degree with the focus on Health Informatics or related discipline required. At least five (5) years of comprehensive work experience consisting of leadership in health informatics roles as well as experience at a multi-hospital system. Proven track record of being an effective consensus builder, operating effectively in a collaborative, shared-leadership environment.
Additional Qualifications (nice to have)
Certification from a national informatics certifying body preferred. Fellowship, academic courses, or other formal training in Health Informatics preferred.
Master's Degree in Informatics or related discipline preferred.
Pay Range- $140,054- $231,090
