Job description

SyntheticFi is a fast-growing FinTech startup redefining how financial advisors and their clients access sophisticated lending products. Our mission is to make institutional-grade borrowing strategies accessible at scale through innovative products powered by box spreads. We partner with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) to help high-net-worth clients access our financing solutions.

Since launch, we’ve sustained 20%+ month-over-month growth, become a category leader, and raised funding from Y Combinator and leading investors in the WealthTech industry.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Strategic Partnerships to build and manage SyntheticFi’s key relationships across the wealth management ecosystem.

This is not a traditional quota-carrying sales role. As a senior representative of SyntheticFi, you will work closely with company leadership and senior executives across the industry to establish and deepen strategic partnerships with custodians, TAMPs, asset managers, fintech platforms, and other key organizations. Through these partnerships, you will help strengthen our product, improve operational processes, expand SyntheticFi’s presence across the wealth management ecosystem, and drive the company’s continued growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute SyntheticFi’s strategic partnership strategy; work with leadership to shape and scale SyntheticFi’s long-term partnership strategy to accelerate company growth.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with custodians, TAMPs, enterprise partners, asset managers, WealthTech/Fintech companies, and other organizations across the wealth management ecosystem.
  • Lead discussions and negotiations with large enterprise organizations; serve as the primary liaison between SyntheticFi and key strategic or enterprise partners.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5-10 years of experience (Director, VP, MD, or above) in enterprise relationship management, business development,, or other closely related functions within WealthTech, AdvisorTech, asset management, custodial platforms, TAMPs, investment product providers, or other financial services in the wealth management ecosystem; alternatively, candidates with direct strategic partnerships experience should bring at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success building, negotiating, and managing complex partnerships with enterprise organizations, including large financial institutions and senior executive stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic judgment, with the ability to identify and execute partnerships that create long-term value across product development, operational processes, market position, and general company growth.
  • Experience owning a major product category, strategic partnership portfolio, enterprise distribution channel, business line, or comparable function, with broad responsibility across multiple client and partner types.
  • Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior decision-makers and navigate complex enterprises.
  • Operating independently with a high degree of ownership and representing SyntheticFi externally in a fast-moving startup environment.
Nice to Have
  • Background in options, derivatives, securities-backed lending, institutional lending, or other capital markets products.
  • Experience working in both large financial institutions and high-growth startup environments.
Why Join SyntheticFi?
  • Drive the next stage of growth. You’ll help expand SyntheticFi’s strategic partnerships and strengthen our position across the wealth management ecosystem.
  • Own relationships that can materially impact the business. You’ll lead engagement with custodians, TAMPs, asset managers, WealthTech platforms, and other influential industry partners.
  • Work directly with the founders and leadership team. You’ll have a meaningful voice in company strategy and help determine which partnerships can accelerate distribution, improve operations, and support long-term growth.
  • Take on a high-impact leadership role. You’ll represent SyntheticFi in complex enterprise relationships and help shape how we engage with the broader industry.
  • Join at a pivotal stage of expansion. You’ll have significant ownership and meaningful equity while helping scale a fast-growing FinTech company.
  • Annual Performance Bonus: Up to 25%
  • Equity: 0.5%-1.0%
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • Medical Insurance
