About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Regional Financial Officer at Operation Twelve Laboratories. The RFO will be responsible for maintaining a complete and accurate record of the organization's funds and overseeing fundraising efforts to support its programs. In this role, you will also be preparing annual budget requests, applying for scholarships and grants, and serving as the legal financial representative for Operation Twelve Laboratories at UC San Diego.
Responsibilities:
  1. Keep a complete and accurate record of the organization's funds.
  2. Sign requisitions for organization funds.
  3. Prepare annual financial budget request packets.
  4. Organize fundraising events to assist Operation Twelve programs.
  5. Suggest and apply for scholarships, grants, and funding to support the operations of the organization.
  6. Serve as the legal financial representative of Operation Twelve Laboratories.
  7. Identify and pursue funding opportunities through grant applications, sponsorships, and other means to support the organization's mission and activities.
  8. Have primary access to the bank and affiliated accounts.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
  2. Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  3. Knowledge of financial management principles and practices, including budgeting and accounting.
  4. Ability to prepare and present financial reports and analysis.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  6. Experience in fundraising and grant writing preferred.
  7. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office.
  8. Must be a student pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree.
