Role Summaryย 

The Head of Global Site Management leads all site-facing clinical trial activities across the global development portfolio.ย ย Thisย operationalย leadership roleย isย responsible forย Site Management & Monitoring and Clinicalย Trial Optimization & Strategic Partnership functions.ย ย This roleย provides strategic leadership forย siteย start-up, site management, andย monitoringย to drive predictable execution, accelerate timelines, improve enrollment performance, ensure high-quality data, andย establishย strategic site partnerships.ย 

As a member of the Clinical Operationsย seniorย leadership team, this roleย is also responsible for supporting strategic initiatives across the development organization.ย 

This is a 4 day onsite position - M-Th

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Build & lead global site management, monitoring, and study start-up activities across all clinical programsย 
  • Develop and execute site strategies toย optimizeย selection, activation, enrollment, and retentionย 
  • Establish consistent monitoring models, including risk-based monitoring approachesย 
  • Build andย maintainย strategic relationships with investigative sites, site networks, and partnersย 
  • Partner closely withย Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Biometrics, and Development Services to ensure seamless, disciplined program and trial executionย 
  • Identifyย and mitigate site-level operational and quality risksย 
  • Establish scalable processes, metrics, and dashboards to track and improve site performanceย 
  • Establish operating model inclusive of vendor strategy,ย oversight, risk management, key performance metrics, and dashboardsย 
  • Provideย expert insightย intoย operational strategy plans (feasibility, monitoring strategies)ย and operating budgetsย 
  • Create and continuously improve standard operating procedures, work instructions, to ensure inspection readinessย 
  • Participate inย regulatory authorityย inspections,ย sponsor audits, and oversee site audits in partnership with Qualityย 
  • Ensure compliance with GCP, regulatory requirements, and internal standardsย 
  • Ability to assess and transform capabilities through AI and Automation solutions or strategiesย 
  • Up to 20-30%ย domesticย and international travel, asย required.ย 

Qualificationsย 

  • Bachelor'sย degree in life sciences or related fieldย ย 
  • 12+ years of experience in site management or clinical operations leadershipย ย 

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Or advanced degree (PhD, MBA, Masters) and 10+ yrs of experienceย 

  • Deepย expertiseย in global study start-up and enrollment optimizationย 
  • Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skillsย
