Job description

UX Researcher
Onsite in MTV

Workflow Requirement:
Speech is looking for a Qualitative UXR to help manage a monthly usability session, from
recruiting to reading out the final report, and all steps in-between.
• Recruiting the right participants for the set of features being tested each month, working
with our internal recruiting services and sometimes external recruiters.
• Designing moderators guides with team and lead UXR input,
• Collecting and analyzing user behavior through usability studies, primarily in-person, but
with some potential for remote research.
• sending a daily topline recap on moderation days (approximately 7 days per month)
• Creating the final report for each cycle
• Presenting the results to the team and answering any follow up questions
• There will be up to a total of 12 rolling research studies each year, each with a full
deliverable report on task completion, usability issues, participant feedback, and concept
alignment with consumer
• There may be some months where we transition to a longer setup or analysis
and skip the study for that month.
Preferred Skills:
• Deep working knowledge and demonstrated practice of a wide range of research
methodologies, their strengths/weaknesses, and when to apply them in the product life
cycle
• Excellent track record on influencing designers, engineers, and other team members.
• Excellent written and spoken communication
• PHD, if not, at least a Masters in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors,
Psychology, Sociology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
Experience with mobile operating systems is a plus
