Position Description

Lindsay Corporation is hiring a Hardware Engineer within its overall technology organization, reporting to the Director, IoT Engineering in Omaha, NE. This important role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering IoT solutions for Lindsay’s various product lines, including new products and feature development. Additionally, this role will also be responsible for performing maintenance on existing products and solutions.

Position Details

This is a full-time, salaried position based at our global headquarters in Omaha, NE and includes a highly competitive salary/benefits package. Travel requirements will be minimal (<15%), but there may be some travel to various office locations and conferences.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Lead hardware development projects from concept through production release

· Design and validate analog, digital, and RF circuits for embedded and IoT systems

· Create and maintain schematic designs and PCB layouts (Altium preferred)

· Evaluate and select electronic components, ensuring lifecycle and supply chain suitability

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams for hardware-firmware integration

· Perform board/system-level testing and validation using standard lab equipment (oscilloscope, DVM, spectrum analyzer, load testers)

· Develop and execute product validation plans and ensure regulatory compliance

· Document designs, test plans, and changes; contribute to team knowledge sharing

· Support products post-launch through troubleshooting and enhancements

· Mentor colleagues and offer guidance in hardware development best practices

· Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and status reporting

· Perform other duties as necessary to ensure project success

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering or related field

· 6+ years professional experience in hardware development for embedded or IoT products

· Proven track record from concept to manufacturing release

· Expertise in analog, digital, power supply, and RF circuit design; experience with intentional radiator (RF) and high-speed digital interfaces

· Proficient in Altium Designer (schematic capture and PCB layout)

· Skilled in system-level and high-speed circuit testing

· Familiarity with validation and regulatory requirements

· Python scripting experience a plus

· Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

· Experience mentoring or coaching peers is a plus

· Prior experience or internship with embedded electronics preferred
