Position Summary

The Hardware Associate assists customers with selecting hardware, tools, and building materials while maintaining a well-organized, fully stocked, and safe department. This role requires strong product knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide knowledgeable assistance with hardware, tools, plumbing, electrical, and building materials
  • Answer product questions and make recommendations based on customer needs
  • Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is properly labeled and priced
  • Operate POS system and handle transactions accurately (if applicable)
  • Assist with inventory counts and restocking
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer service
  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
