About the Role
Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and ensure every customer enjoys a warm, welcoming, and satisfying shopping experience. This position plays a key role in assisting customers, managing transactions, and maintaining store standards that reflect Family Dollar's commitment to value and service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and product recommendations.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the assigned cash register.
  • Maintain cash security and safeguard company assets.
  • Keep the store well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Support unloading of trucks, merchandise receiving, and stock replenishment in line with productivity standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful shopping environment for customers and team members.
  • Handle cleaning duties including restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash, and ensuring overall store cleanliness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by store leadership.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in customer service within retail, grocery, restaurant, or similar environments is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to follow instructions, read and interpret operational documents.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height; frequent standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting required.
