Our Buildings & Grounds department at Basin Harbor is seeking an experienced, Summer-season Gardener and Landscaper to plant and care for our gardenscapes here at Basin Harbor! ย 

Requirements

Preference given to candidate with 4 or more years experience as a gardener working with native plants and flowers, Master Gardener preferred.

Essential Functions Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written English communication
  • Critical evaluation skills
  • A commitment to ethical practice and legal compliance
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Related Experience
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
  • Resourcefulness and "outside-the-box" thinking
  • Pride of workmanship
  • Must be willing and able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with peers and staff.
  • Must be knowledge of and operate within the guidelines of the Basin Harbor Safety programs.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Have the stamina to work up to 10+ hours: sitting, standing and walking
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 25lbs, reach overhead and perform repetitive motion
  • May involve walking between venues and climbing stairs between floors
