Purpose

The Marina Operations / Harbor Master at WindRiver oversees the marina operations ensuring the smooth functioning of our marina, upholding the highest standards of safety, and delivering exceptional service to our esteemed clientele. In addition to operational duties, the Harbor Master will be responsible for various administrative tasks including lease management and Certificate of Insurance (COI) compliance.


Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the marina, including mooring assignments, yacht services, and facility maintenance.
  • Uphold strict adherence to the marina's rules and regulations, ensuring compliance among members and guests.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to safeguard both vessels and individuals within the marina.
  • Coordinate with marina staff, including dockhands and maintenance personnel, to ensure the immaculate presentation and functionality of all facilities.
  • Provide personalized assistance and concierge services to marina members and their guests, catering to their unique needs and preferences.
  • Act as a liaison between marina management and clientele, addressing inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Oversee marina events and activities, ensuring seamless execution and maximum enjoyment for participants.
  • Maintain accurate records of marina activities, including vessel movements, guest reservations, and service requests.
  • Manage lease agreements for moorings and storage spaces, including renewals, terminations, and billing.
  • Ensure all vessels and vendors operating within the marina maintain valid Certificates of Insurance (COI) and comply with insurance requirements.
  • Collaborate with marina management and legal counsel to address lease disputes, insurance claims, and other administrative matters.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and hospitality among marina staff, leading by example and providing ongoing training and support.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, marine operations, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in marina management, yacht club operations, or luxury hospitality.
  • In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen ability to cater to the needs of discerning clientele.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and fostering a culture of service excellence.
  • Proficiency in marina management software and systems (preferred).
  • Valid captain's license or other relevant certifications (preferred).
