What Weโ€™re Looking For: Walstrom Marine is looking for a seasonal evening Security officer to join our Algonac Harbour Club Team!
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Security Monitoring amp; Patrol
  • Patrol and monitor marina premises regularly to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and property.
  • Monitor security cameras and alarm systems; promptly investigate and respond to suspicious activity or security breaches.
  • Enforce marina policies, rules, and regulations consistently and fairly to maintain order and protect assets.
Emergency Response
  • Respond effectively to emergencies, incidents, or safety concerns, including contacting emergency services when needed.
  • Remain calm and composed during high-pressure or emergency situations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally using VHF radio and phone to coordinate with staff and responders.
Customer Support amp; Facility Oversight
  • Provide courteous, professional customer service by assisting marina guests with inquiries, directions, and concerns.
  • Assist late-night arrivals by facilitating access and collecting payments as required.
  • Assist harbor master office in sales, reservations and collecting payments as required
  • Secure all buildings and facilities by locking up at the end of shifts and ensuring customers and vendors have vacated.
  • Ensure all contractors check in with the main office upon arrival and comply with marina rules and regulations while on the property.
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation required for patrol duties.
  • Excellent observation and situational awareness to identify security risks or safety hazards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with staff, guests, and emergency personnel.
  • Basic knowledge of security protocols, emergency response, and marina operations is preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and composed under pressure or in emergency situations.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Thursday-Monday, 4pm - 12am
- This is a seasonal in-person, on site position based out of our Algonac Harbour Club location.
