Job Description: Rimeco Products, Inc.

Title: Machinist 1

Department: Shop Floor

Reports to: Department Manager โ€“ Personal or Scheduling Issues

Programmer or Set-up Personnel โ€“ Program or tooling issues.

Job Objective: To maintain and operate your designated machine and produce quality parts. To learn every aspect of being a machinist and strive to move up to the next level in the organizational chart.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate Machine at or near 100% Efficiency (pulled from estimate on router) with zero NCRโ€™s over the last 90 days.
  • Turn on machine and origin and to turn off at the end of the shift.
  • Use inspection equipment properly.
  • Inspect parts per inspection sheets and drawing, record dimensions in Net-Inspect or SPC program.
  • Properly debur parts.
  • Maintain machine coolant and way lube.
  • Fill out your machine's maintenance sheet.
  • Responsible for parts conforming to the criteria outlined.
  • Log current jobs into E2 with start and stop times and parts completed.
  • Count parts and put in boxes with labels filled out correctly.
  • Keep work area neat and organized and keep the machine clean.
  • Must understand and use the manufacturing process in accordance with the QA Manual and SOPโ€™s.
  • Responsible for visually inspecting parts and looking for nicks or flaws caused by tooling.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must understand the routing process and be able to legibly fill-in the quantities produced, scrapped, your initials and date in each sequence. The finished quantity is then to be flowed down to the starting quantity of the next sequence.
  • Must be able to properly fill-out Move Cards.
  • Responsible for getting the router to the next step after each sequence is complete.
  • Responsible for dumping the chips created during the process in the appropriate chip container. Containers are marked with the material type, if you are uncertain, ask the Shipping Manager.
  • Responsible for being competent in and following all Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions associated with this position.
  • Aid in the creation of Work Instructions.
  • Must not call off or be late for 90 days.
