Position Summary... What you'll do...Role summary:
The (USA) Clerk at Walmart Layout Center plays a vital role in supporting merchandise handling by pulling, staging, and confirming shipments to associate stores while managing damaged goods. This position provides essential customer service to suppliers, buyers, and associates by assisting with deliveries, locating merchandise, and maintaining fixtures. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, operation of power equipment, and upkeep of the work environment. The Clerk collaborates with team members to ensure efficient processes, compliance with company policies, and contributes to a productive and organized facility.
About the team:
The team is essential in managing merchandise flow within the Walmart Layout Center, handling tasks from receiving and delivering products to building and relocating fixtures and pricing items. Members maintain a safe, organized environment while operating equipment such as forklifts and supporting shipping and receiving processes. Collaboration ensures accuracy and efficiency, with a strong focus on ethical standards and company policies. The role demands excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and teamwork to support smooth operations and uphold Walmart’s commitment to quality and safety.
What you'll do:
  • Assist in removing released merchandise by pulling and staging pallets for associate stores, ensuring accurate shipment and disposal of damaged items.
  • Provide customer service by supporting suppliers, buyers, and associates with deliveries, locating lost merchandise, and addressing shipping inquiries.
  • Build and dismantle fixtures, prepare for line reviews, and maintain proper signage on steel.
  • Operate forklifts and power equipment while maintaining safety and security throughout the Layout Center.
  • Maintain cleanliness by organizing work areas, managing recycling, and performing general housekeeping duties.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete tasks, communicate progress, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Forklift certification and proficiency in operating power equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong customer service skills to assist suppliers, buyers, and associates effectively.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 - $28.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
