Job description

Costanzo's Bakery

Come make dough with us!

Join a small team of dedicated operators producing Buffalo's Favorite Sandwich Rolls!
This position is for second shift (1pm-10pm) and offers a shift differential of $.50/hour in addition to the base rate
Currently hiring for entry level operators, minimal experience is acceptable, but there is room to grow in both responsibilities and compensation!
Weekends off, regular schedule is Monday-Friday
Overtime - Expect anywhere from 5-10 hours of overtime per week during the summer months

Responsibilities include:

  • Works at different work stations or tasks as production needs require including Mixer, Divider, Stretching, Roll-Line, Operator, Stretcher, and Oven, to name a few.
  • Prepare machines to start a production cycle, performing calibration, cleaning and other activities
  • Monitor and properly adjust machine settings
  • Supply raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Check parts with precision, using appropriate measuring tools
  • Conduct tests to check the operation of machines, on a regular basis
  • Troubleshoot issues that might occur during the shift
  • Verify output to detect any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Create and manage records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Create and maintain activity logs
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations

Requirements include:

  • 1+ year of experience of working in a Packaging & Production Operator position is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of production procedures
  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. Work posture requirements include: bending, crouching, twisting, reaching and pushing.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
