Job description

Overview
The Advancement Team at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center is seeking a Student Employee to support daily office operations and donor stewardship efforts. This position plays an important role in strengthening relationships with patrons, donors, and sponsors who help advance the mission of the Gogue Center.
Responsibilities
      • Assist with stewardship tasks such as writing or printing birthday cards, thank you cards, and preparing gifts.
      • Calling donors and sponsors to thank them for their support of the Gogue Center.
      • Office duties as assigned: email follow-up, filing, copying, preparing a mailing, a shipment, or a gift.
      • Assists with various events: set up, greeting guests, clean up, etc.
      • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Enrolled student at Auburn University

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      • Ability to work independently and with different groups
      • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with peers, patrons, donors, and co-workers over the phone or in person.
      • Able to show legible and neat handwriting.
    • Preferred QUALIFICATIONS
      • Working knowledge of relevant Office 365 software: Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, etc.
      • Possess above-average problem-solving and communication skills.
      • Easily adapts and handles high-pressure situations and deadlines.
      • Arrive promptly for shifts presenting a professional appearance and enthusiastic attitude.
      • Attend all mandatory training and staff meetings when applicable.
      • Follow procedures set forth by the department and university policies.
