Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verify patient Insurance;
Schedule patient appointments;
Confirm appointments by phone;
? Distribute patient satisfaction surveys as directed;
? Arrange patient transportation as necessary;
? Inform Nursing staff of WALKINS (Triage);
? To provide administrative support duties for patient care e.g. abnormal letters, no-show
letters where applicable;
? To provide translation during patient visits;
? To make referral appointments to specialties as requested;
? Register patients for all specialty appointments;
? Handle miscellaneous patient information (lab check in, general information, forms,
questions etc);
? Distribute patient metro cards as needed;
? Back -up for new patient registration;
? Other responsibilities are needed
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
? High School Diploma or equivalent;
? Medical Assistant and or Medical Reception Certification preferred;
? Courses in Customer Relations, clerical skills, and telecommunications skills preferred;
? Excellent communication skills in dealing with people and practiced clear legible
handwriting;
? Basic Computer Skills demonstrating specifically basic skills in word, excel, inter office
email systems;
? Worked in a customer service environment having person-to-person contact and
performing clerical and phone communications;
