We are growing and seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Circuit Board Hand Solderer to join our manufacturing team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for precisely assembling and soldering electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) to meet quality standards for our high-tech products. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a steady hand to ensure every connection is strong and reliable.

Job Summary & Essential Functions:
Build through-hole (PTH) and surface mount (SMT) printed circuit board assemblies, placing components on boards per controlled parts lists, drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.
  • Manually assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards according to manufacturing instructions and schematics.
  • Precisely solder components, wires, and other parts to circuit boards, ensuring strong electrical and mechanical connections.
  • Conduct quality inspections of soldered boards for defects, such as bad joints, bridging, or component placement errors.
  • Perform minor rework and repairs on circuit boards as needed.
  • Pull up documentation required to preform work on customer assemblies
  • Operate a variety of equipment as needed to fulfill customer requirements
  • Responsible for the proper handling of product and components
  • Perform work with minimal supervision and instruction
  • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
  • Maintain necessary records
  • Perform other assignments as required

Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in hand soldering electronic components onto circuit boards.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions
  • Proficiency with soldering irons, and other hand soldering tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Familiarity with electronic components (capacitors, resistors, transistors, etc.) and their proper handling.
  • Experience with different types of solder and flux.
  • Intermediate level computer skills
  • IPC Certifications (e.g., IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001) are a plus
