  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Summary
Onsite Personnel is seeking an experienced Assembler / Hand Solder II to join a growing electronics manufacturing team. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience assembling and soldering printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), working under a microscope, and following IPC quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble Surface Mount (SMT) and Through-Hole (TH) components on printed circuit boards using hand soldering equipment.
  • Perform solder rework and install fine-pitch components under microscope magnification.
  • Perform solder touch-ups while maintaining IPC quality standards.
  • Solder both RoHS and Non-RoHS electronic assemblies.
  • Read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and work instructions.
  • Identify electronic component types, values, and polarity.
  • Operate hot air rework stations for component removal and replacement.
  • Complete manufacturing travelers accurately and provide feedback for Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work area.
  • Follow all ESD, ISO, quality, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of PCB hand soldering experience preferred.
  • Experience assembling and reworking printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
  • Experience using a microscope is required.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
  • Experience with IPC-7711 Rework of Electronic Assemblies preferred.
  • Current or previous IPC certification strongly preferred (expired certifications accepted).
  • Experience using hot air rework stations.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated manufacturing environment.
Interview Requirements
  • Candidates must successfully pass a hands-on soldering test prior to hire.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to use both hands for repetitive assembly and soldering tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and visual acuity for microscope work.
