PCB Assembly & Soldering Specialist (SMT/Through‑Hole)

Compensation: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour

Employment Type: Full-time | Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire (your choice)

Location: Stacy, MN 55079

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

A day in this role

At 6:00 am, you step into a tidy, quality-driven electronics shop floor. You open your work orders, review schematics and build docs, and set up your bench with magnification and hand tools. Through the morning, you place and solder both through-hole and SMT parts with steady hands, performing fine work under a microscope. After lunch, you inspect assemblies to IPC-A-610 criteria, touch up joints, and rework anything that doesn’t meet spec. When a board needs attention, you troubleshoot, replace components, and verify the fix. You wrap up by documenting results, organizing your station, and supporting the team’s production targets without compromising quality.

What you’ll handle
  • Assemble electronic circuits, PCBs, and subassemblies from drawings and documentation
  • Execute hand soldering for both through-hole and SMT; perform surface-mount rework as needed
  • Install harnesses, connectors, and other electromechanical parts
  • Inspect builds for accuracy and workmanship; rework/repair defects
  • Follow schematics, assembly instructions, and traveler paperwork
  • Apply IPC-A-610 workmanship practices and internal quality procedures
  • Use microscopes, magnifiers, and precision hand tools for micro-assembly
  • Keep a clean, organized, and safe bench and surrounding area
  • Contribute to output goals while maintaining tight quality standards
What you bring

  • Hands-on experience in electronics assembly and soldering
  • Proficiency with through-hole and/or SMT processes
  • IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 credentials preferred
  • Excellent dexterity, hand–eye coordination, and fine motor control
  • Comfort working with tiny components under magnification
  • Consistency in repetitive assembly tasks with high accuracy
  • Basic computer literacy and documentation habits
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
