Job description

HALLMARK - Because Connecting With Each Other Has Never Been More Important
As an Operations Supervisor - Planning & Continuous Improvement, you will lead a team of approximately 10-15 Production & Materials Coordinators supporting operations at Hallmark's Leavenworth Production Center. Your team plays a critical role in ensuring raw materials availability, production planning support, inventory accuracy, data integrity, and execution readiness across the plant.
In addition to leading and developing your team, you will serve as a project leader for initiatives focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and data-driven decision making. You will partner closely with Operations, Planning, Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, Warehouse, and Plant Leadership to identify opportunities, and implement sustainable improvements that enhance cost, service, quality, and productivity performance.
This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys analyzing processes, leveraging data, driving change, and influencing results across multiple functions.
Operations Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership - Lead, coach, and develop a team of Production & Materials Coordinators responsible for production support, raw material planning, inventory management, reporting, purchasing support, and data accuracy. Establish priorities, remove barriers, and foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration.
  • Continuous Improvement - Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles, PDCA, problem solving, root cause analysis, and value stream thinking. Identify opportunities to eliminate waste, improve workflow efficiency, and optimize operational performance.
  • Project Management - Lead cross-functional projects impacting multiple departments across the Leavenworth facility. Define project objectives, manage timelines and stakeholders, communicate progress, and ensure successful implementation of sustainable solutions.
  • Data Analytics & Business Insights - Utilize operational data to uncover opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. Develop reporting tools, dashboards, and performance metrics that improve visibility and drive action throughout the organization.
  • Operational Excellence - Partner with Operations, Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to improve production readiness, material availability, inventory accuracy, service levels, and overall plant performance.

This position is fulltime onsite at our production facility in Leavenworth, KS
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
The following is required to be considered for this role:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent AND a minimum of 3 years supervising direct reports; OR Associate's degree or higher in related field

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Your resume and application will stand out if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering or production operations.

  • Experience managing direct reports in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Experience managing production planning, materials management, inventory control, or supply chain processes.

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects from concept through implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into actionable business insights.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PDCA, A3, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead change across multiple departments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting recommendations to leadership.
  • Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles.
