REPORTS TO: SHIFT MANAGER
STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
1ST SHIFT: MONDAY-FRIDAY 6AM-3:30PM

Our DC Associate plays a critical role in Boot Barn's overall success. They provide support in the receiving, sorting, and shipping departments. This position entails utilization of computer screen, RF Scanner, distribution labels or hard copy reports to process merchandise with the aid of manual material equipment as directed by DC Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pulls product for all weekly distributions to stores.
  • Prepares and stages orders for shipping.
  • Operates powered industrial forklift/reach truck to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders.
  • Ensures proper paperwork is completed before product is sent out to stores or events.
  • Back stocks all incoming freight to respective bin locations.
  • Assists with receiving incoming freight, new store/event receiving and tagging.
  • Unload/load trucks.
  • Monitors equipment and reports problems to supervisor.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance, appearance and high degree of professionalism in communication and attitude with customers, teammates, corporate partners and vendors.
  • Adhere to all local, federal, and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices. These may include but are not limited to complying with the Company's Time & Attendance policy and procedures and partnering with management to sustain workplace health and safety requirements according to OSHA regulations and the Company safety guidelines.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of work experience.
  • Experience utilizing computer systems.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving/order picker preferred.
  • Proficiency with inventory/database programs and POS System knowledge preferred, Epicor NSB a plus.
  • Ability to operate distribution center equipment such as pallet jack, reach truck, forklift, etc.
  • Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
