The Office for Study Abroad (OSA) provides and facilitates undergraduate semester andyear-long study abroad opportunities GW. As educators, we promote students' academic,personal, professional, and intercultural development before, during, and after their studyabroad experiences. The OSA offers advising services, logistical support, and events and programming to promote opportunities, facilitate the application process, prepare students for departure, help students develop cultural competencies, and transfer credits upon return, among other tasks to facilitate a seamless process and integration into students' GW degrees.
Position Specific Summary
The Office for Study Abroad (OSA) is seeking a part-time student employees withexcellent time management skills, professional written and verbal communicationabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to providing exceptionalcustomer service. These individuals will play a crucial role in assisting undergraduatestudents who are interested in studying abroad. In addition to peer advising, eachstudent will have a designated focus area, in social media management, organizingprogramming and events, or working on study abroad scholarship and/or program-focused projects. This position is for one semester initially, with the possibility ofextension based on performance and office needs. Join our Study Abroad CommunityAmbassador program and be part of an exciting team!

Standard Position Description
The student will supplement the goals of the department/program by facilitating connections between the department/program and other individuals and groups. Tasks may include: representing the department/program at a variety of functions such as events across campus and in the wider community, giving tours or presentations for the department/program, and/or offer peer-to-peer guidance on a group or individual basis. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.

Preferred Qualifications
