Job description

Matheny Medical and Educational Center has a career opportunity available for a Full Time Residential Coordinator to oversee the ongoing compliance of daily operations in our seven (7) DDD licensed Group Homes. Homes are located in: Somerset, NJ; Basking Ridge, NJ; Far Hills, NJ. ***The ideal candidate must be willing to travel to all of these locations.*** Schedule is Monday through Thursday and Saturday, day shift

This position is 37.5 hours per week. Duties of this position include: Responsible for house compliance with DDD manual of Standards and for maintaining the program in a manner appropriate for inspection at all time. Responsible for ensuring that the house programs and physical environment provides a safe, enriched and respectful atmosphere for the consumers

Ensures homes are in an orderly and clean fashion, make periodic assignments for the upkeep of large equipment such as refrigerator, stove, etc. Oversee and assist in completion of shift duties to facilitate good relations between staff. Develop a caring and professional relationship with all providers, family members and guardians.

Assist manager with monthly reports, supervision, and questions or concerns. Attend annual ISP meetings for residents and ensures accurate information. Review critical care communication log book each shift.

Monitor and complete relevant in house documentation in Matheny's Electronic Documentation System. Assists group home manager in planning recreation and leisure time activities, including community outings. Ensures menus are prepared with maximum resident participation.

Accompany residents on medical appointments as needed and ensures proper follow-up is completed. Assist residents as needed in all activities of daily living while promoting independence when appropriate. Responsible to participate in monthly planning meetings with Director, Training Manager and Residential Coordinators.

Responsible to attend all resident and staff meetings. Responsible to be the Acting Manager in the absence of the group home Manager. Be available for special residence coverage during holidays, emergencies or when relief coverage cannot.
