Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Buildings and Grounds Assistant performs general maintenance duties as directed by the Buildings and Grounds Manager. Ensure facilities are in good condition. Duties include but are not limited to performing facility maintenance, repairing equipment and buildings, and providing cleaning services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Maximum of Eight)
  1. Responsible for a variety of maintenance jobs as scheduled or assigned by the Buildings and Grounds Manager (e.g., painting, picture hanging, changing light bulbs, changing filters, mowing, landscaping, assisting office personnel in moving, etc.). Assist with various projects in all locations.
  2. Ensure facilities are in good condition. Perform monthly facility inspections. Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues. Work with Buildings and Grounds Managers to correct issues. Assist with the routine upkeep of outdoor areas, building exteriors, and parking lots.
  3. Respond to emergency requests for cleaning and maintenance services.
  4. Responsible for maintenance of Buildings and Grounds vehicle, machinery and equipment that is provided by the Agency.
  5. Responsible for pick-up of Agency equipment that will be warehoused or discarded (e.g., files and unused or broken furniture).
  6. Responsible for warehouse organization and pick-up and delivery of warehouse merchandise to facilities as needed. Responsible for warehouse security, safety, and light maintenance. This also includes being responsible for all windows and exterior doors being locked when the building is vacant.
  7. Comply with all safety and health regulations.

  • Ability to interpret maintenance instructions, manuals, safety rules, and other documents

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record is required
