A ground worker prepares land sites for construction and building additions. As a ground worker, your job duties include laying concrete, establishing drainage routes, redirecting waterways, and creating kerbing and flagging consistent to city codes. Once a building has been constructed, you return to the site to work on footpaths and driveways. You must keep all safety protocols in mind throughout site preparation and be prepared to report back to project managers and supervisors. You also need to provide your own tools on most jobs. This career requires keeping your body in peak physical condition and displaying a good work ethic.
