About Greek Brothers

Greek Brothers is an authentic Greek culinary destination dedicated to bringing the true flavors of the Mediterranean to our community. Owned and operated by the Metekidis family, we pride ourselves on systematic excellence, high-quality ingredients, and a commitment to traditional techniques. We are looking for a disciplined, high-energy Line Cook to join our kitchen team and help us maintain our reputation for consistency and quality.
The Role

As a Line Cook at Greek Brothers, you will be responsible for executing our menu with precision and speed. You will work closely under the direction of Executive Chef Stavros Metekidis to ensure every dish meets our exacting standards. This is a fast-paced environment that requires a professional attitude, a focus on cleanliness, and a passion for Greek cuisine.
Key Responsibilities

  • Station Management: Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies; prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
  • Execution: Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure timely and synchronized delivery.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in accordance with our specific recipes and presentation standards.
  • Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workstation; follow all food safety and sanitation protocols (HACCP) strictly.
  • Inventory: Assist in monitoring stock levels and notifying the Chef of any shortages.
  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the front-of-house team to ensure a smooth guest experience.
Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume, fast-casual, or full-service restaurant.
  • Greek Cuisine Knowledge: Familiarity with Greek ingredients and cooking techniques (Grill/Souvlaki, Gyro, Saute) is a significant plus.
  • Accuracy: Ability to follow recipes exactly to maintain consistency across both locations.
  • Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and work efficiently under pressure during peak hours.
  • Certification: Valid New York Food Handlers License preferred.
  • Professionalism: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a "team-first" mentality.
What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly wages based on experience.
  • A professional, structured working environment.
  • Opportunities for growth within a mounting restaurant group.
  • Employee meal discounts.
