Job Summary The Manager Graphic Design oversees the development and execution of creative design concepts across print and digital platforms for various departments within the LA Kings organization. This role partners closely with sales and marketing teams to bring campaigns and initiatives to life through compelling visual storytelling, including the creation of creative assets, digital content, and website experiences from concept through final execution. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Partner with internal designers and external agencies to concept, develop, and execute creative across digital, social, web, and print platforms. Create original design assets from provided materials or develop concepts from scratch as needed to support LA Kings business initiatives.
  • Design and produce a wide range of marketing materials, including digital ads, social media graphics, email campaigns, websites, landing pages, banners, ticketing collateral, guidebooks, posters, and other branded assets. Collaborating cross-functionally with departments across the organization to ensure creative needs are met accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with brand standards and campaign objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and oversee graphic designers, freelancers, and external creative partners. Review and provide feedback on creative work to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to project specifications while maintaining deadlines.
  • Serve as a key liaison between sales, marketing, digital and creative teams to develop integrated social, web, and email campaigns that drive audience engagement, brand awareness, and incremental traffic to LA Kings digital platforms.
  • Manage creative intake, project prioritization, timelines, and resource allocation across departments to ensure efficient workflows, high-quality on-brand execution, and on-time delivery of all creative initiatives.
  • Establish and manage creative workflows that effectively prioritize incoming requests across departments. Working with Project Manager to implement and maintain systems and processes to improve collaboration, visibility, and operational efficiency across the creative team.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY The Manager Graphic Design must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:
  • Good project management skills with experience in project management tools (ex: Airtable, Asana).
  • Strong knowledge of social media best practices and trends
  • Independent self-starter, with strong knack to research new ideas
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn required business systems.
  • Familiarity with Social Media Analytics tools preferred (ex: Emplifi)
  • Knowledge of sports industry preferred
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education:
  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing or related
Experience:
  • 4-6 years related work experience
  • 4-6 years experience in sports and/or entertainment, with a focus in digital media preferred.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization preferred.
  • Experience in Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or other web platforms preferred.
Payscale: $85,359 - $100,000 Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
