The Graphics Manager operates under the direction of the Press Manager and is responsible for overseeing graphics account activities and processes to ensure customer requirements are accurately translated into production specifications and graphics workflows. This role leads and develops the Graphics team, coordinates project priorities, and serves as the primary point of contact for graphics-related customer and operational support. Collaborates with Sales, Customer Service, Prepress, and Production teams to support customer expectations related to separations, automation initiatives, process standardization, and print quality requirements. Manages color management programs, including X-Rite certification and calibration activities, to ensure consistency and accuracy across production processes. Drives continuous improvement efforts, supports operational efficiencies, and promotes a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the graphics and manufacturing workflow.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain standardized processes for Graphics Account Specialist (GAS) activities and departmental operations.
Audit process effectiveness, identify disruptions, and implement corrective actions to improve workflow performance.
Lead automation initiatives within graphics workflows to improve efficiency and throughput.
Manage and develop Graphics team, including performance reviews, coaching, and development activities.
Monitor and communicate account performance metrics, including turnaround time, approval cycle time, and process-related issues.
Direct and oversee the daily activities of the (GAS) team through the Graphics Specialist Lead, ensuring effective workload distribution, accountability, timely completion of projects, and compliance with quality and customer requirements.

Maintain and support continuous improvement initiatives related to training, process development, and account management activities.

Review incoming graphic files, production orders, material specifications, and finished product requirements to ensure accuracy and identify opportunities to improve printability, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Communications, Graphic Design, Printing Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Five (5) or more years of experience in graphic design, graphics account management, prepress, packaging, flexographic printing, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of account management, customer service, and customer relationship management processes.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Experience with Esko software and workflow solutions, including ArtPro, ArtPro+, and Pilot, preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to analyze workflow performance, identify process inefficiencies, and implement effective solutions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments and with customers.

Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.

Ability to maintain attention to detail while ensuring accuracy and quality standards.


Language Skills:
