About the Role:
Seeking a Flexographic Prepress Technician/Manager in sunny San Diego, CA! In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of our plate making process, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency.
The Prepress Technician prepares artwork, processes digital files, and operates imaging and processing equipment to create flexographic plates. 
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the manufacturing process ensuring quality control and adherence to specifications.
  • Download files on I-Mac and transfer to work station for processing.
  • Transfer files to a laser based digital imager to compose plates.
  • Transfer imaged plates for exposure and processing to an eco friendly, water-wash plate making unit.
  • Inspect, measure, cut and package plates for shipment.
  • Manage workflow and scheduling to meet tight deadlines and production goals.
  • Conduct routine maintenance of prepress and plate processing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of job specifications and customer requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience with prepress software and plate making equipment preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions.
  • Basic computer skills Mac and PC (graphic software knowledge such as Adobe and Esko a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of Quickbooks
  • Ability to proof read (matching proof files to output files)
  • Ability to manage a a digital production work flow.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Effective customer service communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proper attendance.
