Job description

Kowalski Companies is a civic business. We have been family-owned since 1983, when Jim and Mary Kowalski opened the first location on Grand Ave. in St. Paul. Part of being a civic business means we focus on ensuring sustainability and providing the best possible customer service.

Your main duties will be to maintain the hot foods case, pasta bar, burrito bar, wing bar, and the rotisserie chickens. This means following the Kowalski’s procedures for preparation, handling, sanitation, freshness, and quality. A deli chef needs excellent time management skills to prepare for the lunch and dinner rushes throughout the day. Good communication is critical to keeping all areas of the deli freshly stocked with good food, so our customers have all options available to them. You must follow strict health and safety guidelines to prevent any accidents, injuries, or illnesses.

Requirements:

  • Available for mid-shift
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Timeliness and prioritization of tasks
