SUMMARY:
The Grain Solutions Advisor is responsible for grain origination. The advisor will work with an assigned group of customers, creating and offering profitable market solutions and originating grain for Sunrise Cooperative. The advisor will collaborate with the merchandisers to create value and establish long term relationships between producers and Sunrise. The Grain Solutions Advisor will operate in a team environment and must be skilled at handling a variety of tasks; effectively communicating with their assigned customers on a regular basis; problem solving and plan creation, execution, and management.
Requirements
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Cross-selling is an integral part of the Sunrise culture. The Grain Solutions Advisor is expected to be an active contributing member of the regional cross-selling team.
  • Work with the grain merchandisers to buy grain and create risk management solutions for Sunrise members, while ensuring the customer's optimal outcome and market share growth.
  • Perform 15-20 customer calls on average per day with 2 being to a prospect account.
  • Responsible for the execution of a solutions-based sales process including Discovery, Goal Setting, Action Plans and Team Communication.
  • Promote and maintain Sunrises risk management programs including Vantage Pointe and Fertilizer Grain.
  • Submit reports in a timely, accurate manner as required by Sunrise management team.
  • Actively utilize Sunrise's CRM tool (Edge) to maintain detailed customer information including relevant market intelligence, operational needs and plans, storage capacities, crop growth/health and harvest expectations including anticipated yields.
  • Attend and participate in all Sunrise sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform all additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of experience in grain marketing and origination.
  • Able to perform in a time sensitive and seasonally challenging (harvest) environment.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related field preferred.
