Job description

Duties This position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) Army National Guard (ARNG), G3 in Phoenix, Arizona. This is an Army National Guard dual status technician position that requires military membership, compatible military skill assignment and classification. The purpose of this position is to assist the Training Officer and/or NCOIC within the directorate.

Under the direction of the Training Officer and/or NCOIC this position assists in the accomplishment of work performed in the areas of operations and training. Requirements Conditions of employment * ARIZONA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army National Guard, in a military organization supported by the G3.

* This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement. * Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. * Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

* Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. * Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. * May be required to successfully complete a trial period.

* Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. * Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver's license. * Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

* May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours: overtime may be required. Qualifications Military Grades: E3/PFC - E6/SSG Compatible Military Assignments: MOS Immaterial SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must possess 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures.

Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies. Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts.

Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events. Education You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
