POSITION DESCRIPTION
Director of Partnerships and e3 Life Plan
e3 Civic High is working to rethink what college, workforce, and life preparation could look like at a public high school. Together with our community and board, we have created the e3 Life to prepare our scholars for a changing world. The e3 Life Plan redesigns the school experience into a four year process of self-discovery, ecosystem understanding, and economic opportunities.
This work requires moving beyond the walls of our school and partnering with the workforce to give our scholars real-world experiences not typical of schools. We are looking for the right person with the skill sets and connections to make this vision a reality and help us create a model that changes the game for public high schools, makes the Life Plan a reality for our scholars, and changes long-term outcomes for our graduates.
OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the CEO and the Principal, the Director of Partnerships and e3 Life Plan works to oversee the development of the e3 Life Plan, especially in connection to community and professional partnerships.
In this capacity, the Director of Partnerships and e3 Life Plan oversees collaboration with all mentorship, internship, job shadowing, and other professional partnerships connected to e3 Civic High. Additionally, they will work to reconnect e3 alumni with opportunities to mentor and support existing e3 scholars.
- Under the direction of the CEO, the Director of Partnerships and e3 Life Plan will serve as a bridge between the school and external community partners to build programs, services and resources that improve the academic and social-emotional outcomes for students. They will manage existing partnerships, identify new partners, and monitor program quality and impact by using a data and results driven approach.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with federal, state, and local site plans and reporting requirements.
- Assist the Principal and CEO in interpreting the e3 Life Plan to staff, parents, and community.
- Create connections with outside organizations and individuals to support scholar mentorships, internships, job shadowing, career speakers, networking opportunities, etc.
- Coordinate efforts of all partnerships including mentorships, internships, job shadowing, career speakers, etc.
- Support and help design the e3 Life Plan, advisory and any other related programs.
- Coordinate Advisory Committees for e3 Career and Technical Education Pathways.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate field trips and scholar experiences.
- Build continuum life plan experiences for all scholars grades 9-12.
- Assist the CEO in managing budgets related to CTE and Workforce Development.
- Oversees professional development and work with vendors connected to CTE and Workforce Development.
- Build connections with community organizations (rotary, downtown partnership, etc.) that are connectors to other professional partners.
- Establish strong, productive, and trusting relationships with San Diego Downtown Public Library, e3 administrative team, school personnel, partnership organizations, students and community to seek input on needs and address barriers to learning and social-emotional needs/services.
- Integrate effective education, college preparation, family engagement, and enrichment services into the existing school community in order to impact student achievement and ensure an impactful community schools model in collaboration with school staff.
- Monitor Community Schools budget and provide quarterly fiscal reports on fund spent and impact of programs.
- Review and monitor outcomes and benchmarks for Community Schools Grant, analyzing data, impact and providing input to reports.
- Act as the liaison between school administration, key stakeholders, staff, students and community.
- Organize and attend various school meetings and other outreach events.
- Effectively communicates program goals, logistics, requirements, and needs with all stakeholders: school site staff and administrators, partners, parents, and students.
- Develop, maintain, and publicize a schedule of programs and activities offered at the school.
- Analyze performance measures, school results data (internal and external) and/or program quality to determine the successful implementation of programs and meet program outcomes.
- Ensure that transformative progress is made towards meeting grant indicators and objectives and supports the academic, post-secondary, and enrichment goals of students.
- Coordinate the collection and input of evaluation data used to measure ongoing program effectiveness of services and program outcome measures.
- Develop, manage, and coordinate documents needed for internal and external program audits and compliance requirements.
- Ensure the timely submission of all required reports and supporting materials.
- Assume other responsibilities or duties as assigned by the CEO/Principal/school leadership team.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
- Ability to build positive relationships with a variety of constituencies including students, their families, teachers, staff and outside community members.
- Connections and experience working with various community and professional partnerships and organizations.
OTHER EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Department of Justice (DOJ) fingerprint clearance (Placed and maintained in SDCOE Clearinghouse)
- TB (tuberculin) clearance, as mandated by the California Education Code
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Duties require direct contact and/or supervision of children (defined as individuals under the age of 18); serves as a - mandatory reporter in support of the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA).

COMPENSATION:
The current rate of pay is $95,000 to $115,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise
