Job description

Primary Purpose:

Assist in the management of federal/special programs, budgets, processes and procedures according to federal/state guidelines. The position focuses specifically on the Title programs and Grants supporting the District's Afterschool Programs.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma

Special Knowledge/Skills:

File maintenance skills 

Knowledge of federal and special program rules and regulations

Budget management

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Computer skills such as working with Word, Excel, and Google applications

Experience:

Two years of experience working in an educational environment and/or previous office experience strongly preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Program Management

  1. Assist in managing and monitoring grant-funded programs and their expenditures to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines and ensure that programs are cost-effective and managed wisely.
  2. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other required documents as they relate to federal, state, and local guidelines and procedures.
  3. Participate in trainings provided to improve job performance as it relates to federal program guidelines.
  4. Run reports related to Grants for the District Afterschool Programs.
  5. Provide clerical assistance, data input, and reporting for the Federal Programs department.
  6. Examine, modify, and monitor data quality to assure accuracy in all reporting documents and systems.
  7. Establish an inventory and adhere to systems to maintain and monitor all items purchased with federal funds.
  8. Maintain a high level of integrity and discretion.

  1. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
  2. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and the local board policy.

Environment: Facilitate job duties in various areas as identified by supervisor
