Job description

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what's next.
The Business Operations & Planning (BOP) organization is a core component of the Studio that fuels content production success through elevated operations, connected planning, and globally-scaled production solutions. Within BOP, the Global Production Solutions (GPS) team partners with regional production organizations and cross-functional teams, including Product & Technology, Data Science, and Legal, to develop and deploy technology solutions to our global slate of productions. Project managers in GPS orchestrate prioritized efforts and lead change management, connecting and accelerating solutions at scale while fostering collaboration across teams globally.
We are looking for an execution and results-oriented, highly effective Project Manager to support the development and global deployment of Netflix's media production technology, including a connected suite of cloud-based tools and workflows built for live-action productions worldwide. This role will directly manage the planning and operationalization of new capabilities, partnering closely with global teams to bring new tools online responsibly and at scale.
Responsibilities
  • Own the rollout for new media production capabilities, partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering from early exploration through pilot and full-scale deployment.
  • Concurrently manage multiple early-stage, interdependent initiatives across the portfolio, applying sound prioritization judgment when competing for limited resources.
  • Serve as the operational connective layer across a broad studio technology ecosystem, partnering with the Product & Technology teams that own shared systems to ensure new capabilities integrate cleanly.
  • Design and execute change management and rollout plans across multiple international markets, tailoring messaging and pacing to local production workflows, cultural nuances, and talent-relations.
  • Orchestrate work across cross-functional partners (e.g. Finance, Legal, Operations, Support/IT, Post Production), creating a collaborative environment that accelerates measurable outcomes.
  • Communicate program status, progress, risk, and performance clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership, including synthesizing feedback and sentiment gathered across regions into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Establish a reliable, visible cadence for portfolio reviews, prioritization, and decision-making, so that improvements are measurable and progress is transparent to partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years of experience in project management. Background in management consulting (or similar fast-paced, high-performance role) and/or an MBA is a plus.
  • Experience with techniques and tools that drive process efficiency and continuous improvement (for example, Six Sigma, Lean thinking, Scrum).
  • Knowledge and experience with the content creation process strongly preferred (for example, on-set production, post-production, and VFX workflows).
  • Knowledge of product development practices preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent, ambiguous, early-stage initiatives at once, and to make sound prioritization calls without waiting for full cross-functional consensus.
  • Be comfortable quickly grasping and speaking credibly about new and emerging technologies (e.g. generative AI and cloud-based infrastructure) as they relate to creative tools, and translating their capabilities and known limitations into practical rollout plans.
  • Working knowledge of media asset management concepts (e.g. asset types, metadata, interoperability, open standards across systems) and comfort partnering directly with technology teams on systems design.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to socialize, explain, and gain buy-in for new and complex strategies, practices, and workflows. This includes being able to influence the direction of work without direct authority or reporting lines.
  • Experience and capability to respectfully and confidently engage with executives, creative partners, and operational colleagues alike.
  • Ability to manage and operate in ambiguous situations, and to think on your feet to solve problems in real time.

This role sits on Global Program Management's program management growth track. Strong performers are expected to grow into greater scope over time.
Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000.00 - $252,000.00.
Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off. See more details about our Benefits here.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.
