Vice President Strategic Pricing
Job Summary
The Vice President, Global Strategic Pricing is Resmed's enterprise leader responsible for setting the long-term pricing vision and driving a global transformation of pricing strategy, governance, monetization, and value capture. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, and working in lockstep with the Chief Revenue Officer and downstream pricing teams, this role defines how Resmed realizes value across devices, consumables, software, and emerging digital ecosystem.
Let's talk about Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Pricing Vision & Strategy
  • Set the enterprise-wide pricing vision, shaping how Resmed captures value across all product lines and business models.
  • Define long-term (3-5+ year) pricing strategies aligned to market trends, competitive dynamics, reimbursement changes, and digital transformation.
  • Establish global pricing architecture, including list price strategy, price corridors, guardrails, and monetization frameworks.
  • Drive enterprise prioritization of pricing as a core growth lever, consistent with corporate strategy and Resmed's transformation agenda.
2. Ownership of Global Pricing Governance & Approvals
  • Define, design and maintain Resmed's global pricing governance framework in line with relevant regulations and audit requirements
  • Maintain pricing policy, compliance rules, approval, workflows, and DOAs.
  • Act as the oversight for exception governance and escalation pathways.
  • Define standards for pricing transparency, value-based pricing, contracting structures, and margin protection.
3. Strategic Pricing Architecture & Frameworks
  • Develop global strategies for value-based pricing, portfolio contracting, price sustainability, and price dispersion reduction.
  • Oversee global list price setting across devices, masks, consumables, software, and services within all Resmed channels (B2B and D2C).
  • Create pricing strategies for new product launches and innovation pipelines.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership for correcting legacy pricing distortions and protecting long-term ASP and margin performance.
4. Digital Monetization & SaaS Pricing Strategy
Lead Resmed's evolution toward hybrid hardware-software monetization by:
  • Define subscription, tiered, and usage-based monetization frameworks for Orion and other digital platforms.
  • Design packaging, offer structures, value metrics, and upsell pathways.
  • Translate customer data, telemetry, and behavioral insights into pricing segmentation and value capture strategies.
5. Cross-Functional Leadership & Enterprise Influence
  • Act as the senior pricing advisor to the CPO, CFO, CRO, Product Leaders, Regional Commercial VPs and other teams.
  • Influence executive level decision-making on pricing strategy, contracting, and monetization.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, and Finance on policy alignment, risk mitigation, and pricing integrity.
  • Lead enterprise engagement with key customers on strategic pricing and contracting frameworks (not deal execution).
  • Build an exceptional collaboration model with downstream regional pricing teams who own
    • Deal-level pricing and modelling
    • Discounting decisions within governance
    • Contract execution
    • Customer negotiations
    • Local price realization
6. Organizational Leadership
  • Build and lead a global, multi-level pricing organization, including regional teams, RCS pricing leaders, and D2C pricing centers of excellence.
  • Build a high-performing function with consistent global processes, tools, and career paths.
  • Set organizational priorities, allocate resources, and develop the next generation of pricing leadership
  • Instill strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and enterprise mindset across the pricing team both upstream and downstream.
7. Global Pricing Infrastructure & Analytics
  • Define strategy and functional requirements for global pricing tools, including CPQ, pricing databases, elasticity modeling, and ASP monitoring systems.
  • Partner with Revenue and Finance on implementation and data governance.
  • Establish global KPIs for pricing health, dispersion, compliance, monetization performance, and price realization.

Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience

15+ years in pricing, monetization, commercial strategy, or product strategy; 7+ years in global leadership roles. Experience in healthcare including medtech, pharma or life sciences pricing (value-based pricing, reimbursement-informed strategy, tender/contract frameworks). Experience with SaaS or digital platform monetization, including subscription pricing and packaging. Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, multi-year transformations. Proven track record influencing executive leadership and driving enterprise-wide adoption of new strategies. Experience leading leaders and building global teams.

Experience in hybrid hardware-software business models. Prior leadership in high complexity, regulated industries. Background in pricing systems (CPQ, analytics platforms) or strategic pricing consulting.
