We are seeking a Communications Intern to join our team.
The Communications Intern will support initiatives that strengthen the firm's brand, enhance internal and external communications, and promote engagement with clients, prospects, and employees. This position provides exposure to marketing strategy, content creation, digital communications, and brand management efforts. Working closely with the Marketing Department, the intern will assist in developing and executing communication initiatives that align with the firm's growth objectives and culture.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with the creation and distribution of marketing and communication materials, including newsletters, email campaigns, blogs, and promotional content.

  • Support social media efforts by helping create, schedule, monitor, and analyze content across various platforms.

  • Help maintain and update website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.

  • Assist in the development of marketing collateral, presentations, and client-facing materials.

  • Support internal communication initiatives that promote employee engagement and reinforce company culture.

  • Coordinate and assist with marketing campaigns, events, community involvement activities, and firm-sponsored programs.

  • Track and monitor communication and marketing metrics, providing status updates and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and communication best practices to support marketing strategies.

  • Assist with photography, videography, and content gathering for firm events, employee spotlights, and promotional efforts.

  • Support cross-functional collaboration by assisting with meetings, project coordination, note-taking, and follow-up activities.

  • Ensure all communications maintain consistency with the firm's brand standards, messaging, and professional image.

Position Expectations & Work Environment
This is a part-time internship position. The intern is expected to work a minimum of 20-25 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to accommodate academic commitments. Work will be performed on-site during normal business hours in a professional office setting.
Location & Travel
This position is based at the Springfield, MO office. Limited local travel may be required for marketing events, community outreach activities, or content gathering opportunities.
Required Education & Experience
Actively pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Graphic Design, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience managing social media accounts, creating content, or participating in marketing-related projects.

  • Familiarity with content creation, graphic design, photography, video editing, or digital marketing tools.
