Micron's Policy Communications team supports the company's global government and public affairs efforts by developing central messaging and amplifying policy narratives across coordinated channels. The team works closely with internal customers and external partners to advance Micron's policy priorities in key regions.

As a Policy Communications Intern, you will play an active role in supporting the execution of Micron's global policy communications strategy. This internship offers hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, event monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration, all aimed at advancing Micron's policy objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of global policy communications strategies across integrated channels
  • Draft communications materials including quotes, press releases, and messaging briefs
  • Manage and create content for the @MicronPolicy X account to meet engagement goals
  • Attend and summarize congressional hearings and think tank events related to semiconductor and national security issues
  • Monitor policy activities and industry news to identify engagement opportunities
  • Collaborate with global communications, marketing, and digital teams to amplify narratives
  • Copy edit and format internal and external communications products
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong interest or experience in government, technology, defense, or semiconductor-related industries
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
  • AI proficiency with LLMs or AIenabled ways of working where applicable
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in communications, public affairs, or policy-related roles
  • Familiarity with social media strategy and content creation
  • Ability to summarize complex policy topics for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience with copy editing and formatting professional communications

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$37.91 - $37.91 an hour

Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
