Job description

Downtown Music is a modern global music company committed to building a more equitable music industry. As the preferred partner for some of the world's most beloved songwriters, storied music catalogs, and emerging artists at the forefront of pop culture, we offer bespoke distribution, publishing administration, creative marketing and finance solutions to entrepreneurial creators and their partners. Downtown Music is owned and operated by Downtown Music Holdings.
What you'll be doing:
  • Report to SVP, Global Client Services
  • Help supervise junior team members responsible for day-to-day client communication on all publishing admin matters, including Licensing, Royalties, Copyright, and Income Tracking
  • Serve as senior point of contact for DMP client base (songwriters, estates, publishers, catalog owners)
  • Successfully onboard new agreements and cultivate meaningful relationships with existing clients
  • Oversee quarterly royalty distribution processes, from payment information outreach to statement deliveries
  • Organize department data resources such as Airtable, Curve, and Salesforce
  • Handle all administrative client correspondence in a professional and timely manner
  • Act as an internal advocate for Downtown clients
  • Interact across departments at Downtown Music Publishing

You are / have:
  • 5-7 years of experience in a client-facing role within the music industry, preferably in music publishing administration
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, CRM programs such as Salesforce, and project-management tools such as Airtable, Curve, and Music Maestro
  • Prior experience managing staff
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Very strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated with an inquisitive mindset
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make judgment calls

Downtown provides base salary ranges for all positions located in the United States at the time of posting. The hiring range for this position is $80-100k annually. As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon various factors including, but not limited to, work experience, geographic location and relevant skills. Downtown is committed to providing a comprehensive market-competitive total rewards program for its employees which includes medical, dental, and vision, life insurance, 401(k) match and generous paid time off. This range does not include any other variable compensation components.
