Job description


Wood is currently seeking applicants for our open GIS Specialist positions to work from our Sheridan Wyoming office.
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide troubleshooting and client support via phone and email.
  • Collaborate with team members and customers to drive GIS-related initiatives.
  • Create, update, and maintain GIS asset and attribute data.
  • Utilize CAD software to integrate GIS data with engineering designs.
  • Manage GIS maps for both existing and new clients.
  • Collect, analyze, and manage GIS data using Esri software.
  • Implement GIS accounts and data systems for diverse projects.
  • Develop data collection tools using Survey123 and Field Maps.
  • Create data analysis and visualization tools using Experience Builder and ArcGIS Hub.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, GIS, or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution,
OR
Associate degree in computer science, GIS, or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development,
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 Products.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high accuracy in data handling.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
  • In-depth knowledge of Esri products such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Survey123, Field Maps, Experience Builder, and ArcGIS Hub.
  • Proficiency in Python or related coding languages.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools is a plus, enhancing the integration of spatial data with design projects.
